It is an unfortunate fact, people posing as locksmiths are ripping off the public! It is embarrasing as a locksmith to have to face, but the fact is, locksmithing has been overrun with phony scammers posing as locksmiths. I am NOT trying to be alarmist, I am telling you that it IS A PROBLEM! I will say one thing: The time it takes a locksmith to get in is not really a reliable indicator of their skill or qualifications. Sometimes I just take my time to make sure I don't cause any damage. Generally, a qualified locksmith will take the easiest possible route, which is also usually the quickest.
